Ambassador

Ambassador is Remo’s standard single-ply range. Bright and durable, these heads come as standard on many kits and are the default starting point for most drummers. The 14″ Coated Ambassador is the most popular snare head in the world.

Emperor

Emperor are double-ply which makes them more hard-wearing and warmer than the Ambassador range without being as bright and defined. They are a popular choice for toms.

Vintage Ambassadors and Vintage Emperors were developed for vintage-designed kits with very thin shells. They are thicker than their standard counterparts which helps to control the extra resonance in vintage-style shells.

Ambassador X and Emperor X drumheads are thicker versions of each design – they provide a more pronounced attack, increased volume and a broader midrange tone along with increased durability.

Pinstripe

Pinstripe are a double-ply head featuring a heat seal ring around their outside to control overtones. They are a popular choice for toms as they maintain attack but don’t let the drum sing for too long.

Powerstroke

Powerstroke heads come with built-in inlay rings that help to focus the sound and kill overtones. The Powerstroke P3 has a 3-mil inlay ring and is most commonly used as a bass drum head while the 7.5-mil inlay ring of the Powerstroke P4 provides an even more focused attack with minimal sustain. The Powerstroke 77 has a 7-mil inlay ring and is only available in snare drum sizes. Powerstroke Pro goes one step further by applying a foam dampening ring to the outside of the drum (much like an Evans EMAD)

Controlled Sound

Controlled Sound heads tackle overtones with a different approach – a  black dot on the centre underside of the head adds durability and focusses the drum while giving a retro style.

Diplomat

With their single-ply construction, Remo Diplomat heads provide a bright, open tone and excellent, full sustain. Available in both clear and coated 7.5-mil options, they are ideal for both batter and resonant heads.

Powersonic

Powersonic bass drum heads feature two built-in dampening rings and a snap-on/snap-off dampening system that puts you in complete control of your bass drums sound.

Silentstroke

Silentstroke are mesh heads that eliminate the volume of any kit and turn it into an ideal practise kit.

Graphic Heads

Remo’s Artbeat and Graphic drumheads feature original artwork to add an exciting visual aspect to your kit and make your drums stand out from the crowd.

Marching Heads
