With a moderately defined attack, short sustain and semi-dark tone, the Evans GMAD is a hard-wearing and reliable choice.

The Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping system is what sets this Evans range apart from other bass drumheads – this adds a foam dampening ring to the outside of the head to focus the sound and control sustain and overtones. The player can even adjust attack and focus without removing the drumhead, simply by changing the size of dampening ring.
