Evans™ EMAD™ is a single ply of 10-mil film providing an ideal balance of punch, power and low-end. But it is the Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping (EMAD) system that sets it apart from other bass drum heads. This adds a foam dampening ring to the outside of the head to focus the sound and control sustain and overtones. The player can even adjust attack and focus without removing the drumhead, Simply by changing the size of dampening ring.
This is the go to bass drumhead for all of the Drum Central staff and we recommend it to anyone who is willing to listen to us.
